Good morning y'all already in the next day. Say good night Joanne, good night Joanne.
Good night Joanne.....heehee
with the oldest boy taking part in iraq situation, the mrs. is on edge and doesn't want to hear anything about iraq except for when it's finally over.
my girls are doing great, seeing how far my oldest (5) has made great progress in school compared to her peers in the public school system and makes the price of tuition well worth it. the best part is that she loves the school. not to bash public schools elsewhere in the states, but guam schools consistantly rank last in nation wide testing. my youngest (4) has to wait another year to start, but her babysitter has a degree in early childhood development and has taught her very well. both love the beach and we go there just about every weekend.
Best wishes for the oldest, pueo. I didn't know he was involved.
I didn't know either, pueo.....
(((((pueo & mrs)))))
as far as the oldest son goes, he's in the army signal corps based out of ft. stewart georgia. he has been in kuwait for several months already, up until the firing started he was enjoying himself. haven't heard from him since then, but that's to be expected.
My thoughts are with your boy, pueo.
Impressive news about your public schools.
HUGS, and thoughts with you & yours pueo
lovely that your daughter is doing so well, and that your younger is getting a good head start to do well herself..that is just wonderful! didnt know about the stats there, interesting.
I figure if I ever choose to take a job teaching again, at least I'll never be in the last-ranked school system! I thought our esteemed President and his brother had achieved the last couple of places in Florida and Texas, places I do plan to live, but I guess they couldn't screw up those states' school systems quite that far in their allotted reigns of terror. Erm, I mean terms.
big debate at the department of education between the new school superintendent and the guam federation of teachers. since it's been found that the government of guam (govguam) has no money, an across the board 10% salary reduction has been implemented for all govguam employees. the teachers union (the guam federation of teachers) have filed a law suit protesting that this violates their contract. contract/law suit or not, the new school superintendent has enforced that law.
i side with the super on this in addition to the very real possibilty not making payroll, how can they (the teachers) think that they are any better than any other govguam employee. especially since they obviously are not doing the job they are paid to do, namely teach. i believe that two years ago american samoa participated in the sat-9 test for the first time. they beat guam, in fact everyone beat guam except for the district of columbia. this has caused a rift in the teachers union with a substantial number of teachers leaving the union.
but enough of this.
another day has passed with the mrs. avoiding any news on iraq. i guess it works for her, but she keeps asking me what's happening and when i try to tell her she say's she doesn't want to know.
thanks for all your good words.
and goodnight............
Good night, and future nights, Pueo. Sigh...
Ahhh, pueo, life is cruel. I've had a big dose of that myself lately.
Give your wife an extra hug or two. My best to you and all your family.
Ooooh my, that's one comfortable cat!
loud and clear misti. goodnight.
