-In class time, students are usually playing with their mobile phones.
Is my sentence natural English? Or should I say THE class time(not referring to any class on a particular date) or should I use a better verb to replace PLAYING WITH?
@WBYeats,
The sentence is perfectly good. Both 'class time' and 'playing' are good choices.
@WBYeats,
"Fiddling with" is another potential, WB, tho I'm not suggesting it's better.
During class time.... .

Sometimes students play with mobile phones in class.
