Mac, I want to change my choice from 14 to 10. It feels right. Is that allowed?

I'll PM Taffy's human.

Does anyone know about Diane and Felix's travel plans? I don't know if we should wait for them.

Glad I'm back for a bit to give an answer... Let's see...#...9 seems logical for this one to me!

A2K seems to be a really good place to talk family trauma out. If you start a thread, we will come. Sorry to hear about your dad.

1. A large hairy creature which is not a cat. (bluff by Taffy La Blanc)

2. Small lumps or swelling of the epiglottal area. (bluff by panzade; fooled Jose Cuervo)

3. Stone-like satellites of larger asteroids. (bluff by Ceili)

4. Any of various musical instruments played like a rattle. (bluff by mac11)

5. Genus of plants including the castor oil plant. (bluff by margo)

6. Bacterial infection caused by beaver faeces. (bluff by ehBeth; fooled littlek, MyOwnUserName, and Peace and Love)

7. Small fatty globules in Broca's area, found in the brains of people with Alzheimer's disease. (bluff by Clary; fooled jespah)

8. A descriptor for a type of plant bearing similar leaves to the castor bean plant. (bluff by littlek; fooled margo)

9. A genus of extinct giant beavers. (real definition; didn't fool fealola, Ceili, ehBeth, devriesj, and hiama)

10. A cluster of stars in the constellation Leo. (bluff by P&L; fooled Clary)

11. A benign skin growth. (bluff by devriesj)

12. Offshoots of small, bean-like organisms found in hydrothermal vents. (bluff by Diane; fooled panzade and Equus)

13. Atypical red blood cell associated with the genetic condition Acute Hemotrydic Mysoleukosemia. Named for resemblance to the castor bean. (bluff by fealola)

14. Stylized masks from ancient Greek drama, especially the pair representing comedy (smiling) and tragedy (frowning). (bluff by Equus)

15. Dual bodily features, such as two arms. (bluff by jespah)

16. Small, rather embarrassing droppings left when suffering from constipation. (bluff by Felix Noir)

Congratulations to all! Scoring coming up - gotta go back thru several pages first...

Please let me know if you find any errors or omissions.

Scoring:

1. I believe that we agreed to not count any scores from the HEBITUDINOUS round.

2. As I understood the definition of SUN DOG, the following people are entitled to 3 points each for the definitions they sent in: ehBeth, devriesj, Equus, and firstthought. (See page 60 to review those definitions.)

3. Firstthought and Individual each get 3 points for submitting the correct definition (or nearly correct) for TRISMUS.

4. Firstthought is also entitled to 3 points for the CASTOROIDES round. His definition was "An aquatic animal that is long time gone."

So here we go:

firstthought 9

ehBeth 8

devriesj 5

Equus 3
Individual 3

Ceili 2
Diane 2
fealola 2
hiama 2

Clary 1
Jose Cuervo 1
littlek 1
Peace & Love 1

Felix Noir 0
jespah 0
mac11 0
margo 0
Taffy La Blanc 0

Let me know if I missed anything or if anyone disagrees about the previous rounds. Confused
