Hey, panzade, great doggy avatar! :-D

Then again, I'm kinda partial to doggy avatars.

Welcome to balderdash. And welcome to Sting the Scorpion. Want some homemade mandelbrot? Actually, anyone want some? My mother made lots and it's ... so ... tempting ....

<also setting down a plate of whatever the heck it is scorpions eat>

Is mandelbrot almond bread? It sounds delicious; can you squeeze some down a fax to Hong Kong please?

Mandelbrot?
As my sainted grandmother used to say:"Ich weiss nicht"..but could you pass the gefilte fish?

Sting is munching away

Margo: Freddie the frog was sacrificed in the Great Avatar Debate. I am now aligned with the doggy sect. Yes, I am one of the rare breed of Argentine Aussies.

Thank you all for this warm thread welcome. Our family loved this game which was taught to me at UVA Charlottesville. In 1973 we called it Fictionary.

I still call it Fictionary. On British TV it's called Call My Bluff.

mandelbrot is kosher for Passover cookies. They kinda look and taste like biscotti but with no anise. Mom (who sent 'em all the way from Long Island - yay Mom!) makes 'em with chocolate and toasted walnuts. There's some sort of non-yeasty flour, otherwise they wouldn't be kosher for Passover. I think they're also pareve (e. g. neither meat nor dairy), so they aren't made with milk, either.

Oy, gefilte fish! My mother wouldn't send those through the mail (hmmm I'd have trouble explaining the aroma to the postman), but I can pick that up here, no sweat.
