Good evening...It could be an interesting night in central VA. Snow to the south; snow to the west; overcast and, although it's not all that cold, it's a penetrating cold. We unloaded a tractor trailer this afternoon and afterwards it took awhile to warm up.

So we are on the word UCALEGON. I have received bluffs from: Clary, Diane, Equus, Individual, Jespah, Onyxelle, RJB, and Safecracker.

The rest of y'all should send me entries ASAP. I will send pm's to laggards on Sunday night and will start cracking heads on Monday. I hope to post the bluffs on Tuesday. Thanks--- rjb

and today from First thought, Taffy, and Hiama.
Thanks. One of them sent me to the dictionary to check a word I wasn't familiar with. It was used correctly. A new word for me today. Please keep other bluffs coming. -rjb-

Devriesj...Welcome, welcome, welcome.. I'm going to be closing down this portion of the game in the next hour or so. Please pm me with your bluff definition for Ucalegon asap. (No fair looking in any real or on-line dictionary, of course).
Thanks for participating but you are going to need to join quickly. Other players will, I am sure, give you a warmer welcome as time permits.
I'm gearing up for Super Tuesday!

Good evening, one and all. I'm dressed in my tuxedo ready to present the excellant bluffs for UCALEGON (or I may be buck-assed naked). Ain't the internet great!
Thayett and fealola seem to have drifted away - but I have 20 (I say, 20, bluffs). And here they are:

1) A coarse East Indian and Australian grass that is used as a source of paper and pulp
2) Dense bone mass
3) An Irish folk-dance festival
4) A sub-species of the sea cucumber
5) Nickname for the Univesity of California at Oregon
6) A neighbor whose house is on fire
7) The Planet where sentient felines come from
8) A type of polyhedron with 87 sides
9) A chorus in Greek drama that tells parts of the story that are not enacted on stage
10) A unit of measurement of heat in water
11) Mythical creature with human body and lion's head.
12) A pile of incomplete prosthetic legs
13) An irregularly shaped geometric figure. The most common is the trapezoid.
14) The Bar-Be-Que next door
15) Chemical substance mixed with chlorophyll, used in making green dye
16) A mineral with many of the compounds found in borax
17) An ancient island city off the coast of Namibia
18) A cat playing a ukelele - a talent unknown to humans
19) Mythical meeting place of the Norse gods (Thor, Odin, etc)
20) The general who succeeded General Subedei in 1222 in Genghis Khan's army

Let's vote on one of those that seems to make sense!

It's such an unlikely word that it's got to be 6, 12 or 18. So __ I'll go for 17.

Crap...torn between 6 and 13. I'm going to go with superstition and assume 13 is unlucky. I'll go with 6.
