I'm torn between #4, #11 and #16 - there's a Lead theme emerging here.

I'll guess the middle option and go for #11.

Just once, I'd like to be sure of the definition. It certainly isn't happening this time.

I'll go with #4.

Felix admires the technical savvy of #15.

BTW, I will be the next dasher. I'll post the new word in a couple of days.

Welcome Sr. Cuervo.

Well, I'm going to operate here on the theory that PLUMBAGO has nothing to do with lead, plumb lines, plums, or lumbago because any of those seem too logical. Therefore, I shall pick #5, the crocus.

Hi, y'all - and a big welcome to Jose.
I mentioned to P&L that I had actually run into this word about six months ago and had actually been able to work it into a conversation. But now I couldn't recall anything about that so, instead of getting some quick points for submitting a correct definition I had to bluff like everyone else. Not to worry, thought I, once I see the list that P&L posts I'll recall the meaning of the word immediately.
Sigh...I'm going to guess #11
I have this bad feeling that Sozobe, who is several strides ahead of us in the scoring but who has been silent this round, may surge further ahead. -rjb-

Number 8 is tempting, due to it's unprecedented silliness. But I guess I'll guess number 14.

Cheshire is undecided, but I told him he had to choose now, so he closed his eyes and pointed at number 15.
