Both are right, each means something different.

To have hope - to be hopeful about a situation, to have the feeling that what is wanted can be had or that events will turn out for the best.

The weather forecast looks bad but I have hope.

To have a hope - a particular instance of this feeling.

I have a hope: that my baby will be a boy.
