@blueveinedthrobber,
I'm still not sure why anyone would listen to him. Much less someone as opposed to him as posters here.
@McGentrix,
I suspect a strong "watching a train wreck" factor, but i've never watched the boy, so i couldn't say.
I have tried to listen to him and it's like nails on a chalk board. No one should be that stupid and allowed, much less PAID, to exhibit that level of stupidity.
Beck does have a talent--he uses a blackboard like Mick Jagger uses a microphone. Lecturers should emulate his method, just not the drooling message.
Rap
I certainly don't watch him or anyone like him. I have enough local idiots, like Dan Patrick and Ted Cruz to worry about.
I don't watch him either. However, long ago, for many years, he had an ordinary radio phone in show, which was largely apolitical and he was very entertaining, just talking to callers and telling stories. What he does now is something quite different.
I 've seen him 1ce or 2ice, a few years ago.
He did not grab my interest.
David
@McGentrix,
Maybe it' just semantics, but he's hardly stupid. Annoying and ridiculous, but not stupid.
Maybe I did not give him a fair chance,
because I only saw his show 1ce or 2ice,
but what I saw did not make me think that I was seeing something CONSERVATIVE,
particularly; not especially in keeping with the Authors of the Constitution, tho not against them either.

I disagree. Some of the things I have heard him say can only be attributed to stupidity.
”I don’t think we came from monkeys. I think that’s ridiculous. I haven’t seen a half-monkey, half-person yet.”
@McGentrix,
Some intelligent people say stupid things.
@Finn dAbuzz,
And some stupid people constantly say stupid things.
@Finn dAbuzz,
Do you think you could find something from Beck that isn't stupid, Finn?
Ok, stupid is probably a bad term as he is smart enough to play the role he is and make a good penny doing so.
I don't begrudge his success and I would never be one to stifle anothers first amendment rights. It just irritates me that so many listen to Beck specifically as though his words were true and honest.
@McGentrix,
He takes himself far too seriously for my taste, but not everything he says is false. Just like Rachel Maddow.
