What is the difference between a Social person and a Leader

While writing I got that being social is how well a person can gel with others and being leader is how they can lead others to right path!

But in my mind, it was set that leaders can always take people along. It means leaders are social.
I saw in companies that even bad worker do better (by killing others etc) by taking people in confidence.

So, how do you define what is leadership but that is not social?

or, lets define how a leader can get success at a place even without being social?
Why people will listen him if he is not social?
