why do we get mad ?

So In our daily life we meet several people like in school, work etc. But there are few people we meet on regular basis like colleagues, flatmates, classmates etc. So no matter what we be kind and respectful to the other person but we get mad ( eg: me) when the other person doesn't do the same.
