1 lb of body weight per week.

I learned this fact (and the ones below) today in a nutrition class. Wow....

----if you're experiencing a heart attack and it is not yet "full on" cough until you reach the medicine cabinet, and take an aspirin. Coughing opens your airways and gives you the oxygen you need. Aspirin thins your blood so as to pass through constricted arteries

----a taco salad has more nutrional waste/garbage than a big mac

----Lo Carb dieters: A 'deli' bagel is 4-5 servings

----Wheat bread: if it's as soft as white bread - it's mostly WHITE and not WHEAT

100% whole wheat bread requires about a 1/4 pound of butter per slice in order to get it down.

I drink diet soda that lacks sugar. No calories and no weight gain.

Some people can't take the baby aspirin, because they will bleed too extensively. I'm one of them.
A nose bleed could be so bad, I'd almost have to go to an ER to get the bleed to stop.

I like the Knudsen spritzers, sugar free and high fruit juice content.

The thing that concerns me about diet sodas is aspartame. I used to drink a lot of diet soda. Then I started reading articles about the dangers of aspartame.

It looks like the jury is still out. When you look on the internet, for every article that says that aspartame is safe, there is another that says it is dangerous.

I would take a conservative stand on this issue. I can live without diet soda. When I want to sweeten something, I use Splenda, which (so far) has not had any bad press. If I want a drink, I take water.
