Why would you think that as being a regular thing?
First off, celebrities started somewhere. They played bars, that sort of thing, before they were famous.
And, with few exceptions (Susan Boyle comes to mind), the women who have sung got all dolled up and often wore something pretty skimpy during performances. Is it fair? No. Does it affect their voices? Of course not.
But it's a uniform, like a chef in a toque or a firefighter with heavy boots. They wear the uniform, do their job, and then go home, like most people. Do things happen? To some of them, sure. But not all of them, and probably fewer than half, particularly if they aren't famous.
After all, what kind of bragging rights does anyone get from banging the chick who sings at the bar at the local Ramada?
