Godwin's Law might not apply to A2K?

Notice that Godwin's Law, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Godwin%27s_law ,claims that Nazi or Hitler comparisons end a discussion (aka, thread). I do not think this has been the case on A2K a number of times. If that is true, are some/many of the posters on A2K of a different type than many other forums?

A2K has traditionally been more willing to follow logic than is the norm, and hear out arguments. We have mostly lost that but A2K was great for reasons. The NAZI's were not freaks, there have through history been many people who were like them in some ways, intelligent rational people will acknowledge this and act accordingly.

The Nazi hierarchy were self serving sychophants with a strong leaning towards thuggery, violence for the sake of it, racial hatred and arrogance.
They were led by a raging madman.

Apart from that, they had superb sense of style in uniform fashion.

It has been suggested that Hitler borrowed the style of the uniforms from the uniforms worn by the New Jersey State Police of the time.

People have gone back and forth on this...but there is no doubt that New Jersey State Police uniforms still look much like Nazi uniforms.

I understand that Norman Schwarzkopf, Sr...who was the head of the New Jersey State Police back a ways...was the designer.
