If you think America looks bad from out there, Wilso, you ought to see it from inside Texas. But there are still plenty of decent people in America; after all the majority of voters opted for Gore. It's just that the present administration makes everybody look bad.

It is worrisome, though, how quickly Americans get the "war fever" and are so easily manipulated by propaganda. We're stuck inside a big pile of dung now, and I can't see how we can extricate ourselves. Maybe we'll just have to pull out of Iraq, let the chips fall where they may, and accept that there'll be a theocratic government in Iraq, much like Iran. That may be the price of a bumbling administration.
