Does it seem likely to anyone that if your CIA director tells you Its A Slam Dunk that Saddam had WMDs, and the consensus is sure SH is aiding al-Quaida, the best move is to take war to SH?
Why is Bush expected to have better intel on this than Tenet?
Also, if Bush is hearing this, shouldn't he ask for a plan of war, whether he has to use it or not? Don't you think we have contingency plans for other possible scenarios on desks in the Pentagon and WH?
Why isn't Tenet the source of the questions and criticisms in this case?
The excerpt shows Bush didn't sit back satisfied after the presentation, but challenged Tenet again, and was told again-- "Don't worry. Its a slam dunk..."
