You could say the same about Dawkins, Buddha, Mohammed, Nietzche, or Hitchens etc etc..Wink
As open-minded truthseekers it's our DUTY to discuss what they all say.
Why Jesus? Well he did say-
"You have no idea where I come from or where I am going, I am not of this world" (John 8:14/ 8:23)

and he bent the laws of "reality" by doing stunts that even David Blaine would find hard to copy, so it's certainly worth contemplating where exactly DID Jesus come from?..Smile

@Romeo Fabulini,
By that standard, there is even greater evidence for the Hindu gods, seeing as how they outdate the Bible myths by many centuries and have been "eyewitnessed" my many millions more. You don't have eyewitnesses. You have ancient stories made up and passed down by illiterate Bronze Age goat herders.

They must have been krap hindu "gods" to let themselves be completely upstaged by our boy from Nazareth..Smile
The egyptian lot are bad enough, but the hindu crew (below) are just as freaky, they might be able to make chicken vindaloo better than JC but that's about all..Smile

You're feeding a troll, FBM. He has posted this BS before, and if he finds another victim, he'll post it again--images included. Most of all, he likes to post pretty pictures, and it is a matter of indifference to him if it's relevant.

Yeah, I know. I've seen him. It never hurts to make him look stoopid, though, does it? Wink

Well he did hit on one area of comparison for all belief systems, religious, patriotic, etc.
I am giving YOU a new commandment, that YOU love one another; just as I have loved YOU, that YOU also love one another. 35 By this all will know that YOU are my disciples, if YOU have love among yourselves. (John 13: 34,35)

In its application, I have no argument with those who would die for their belief. It is the ones who would kill for their belief that I take issue with.

@FBM,
Many atheists, as well as many theists of varying stripes will take up arms against targets of similar ism.

Neo baby, i'd have thought you'd have learnt by now not to throw punches at me! As a Jehovah's Witness, you and your JW chums are clean off the "stoopid" scale..Wink
For example you'd rather let your kids die than have a transfusion, you think Jesus was crucified on a pole, you think church spires, christmas, easter and birthdays are evil, you refuse to salute the stars and stripes and won't fight in any war.
And despite you having spent over 40 years in the JW's you still admit you sometimes know jack ..Wink
"When I'm wrong, I fess up to it" (Neologist 21 Sep 013)
"I'm no genius..One of my main reasons for posting here is to sharpen my understanding" (Neologist 21 Sep 013)
"JWs are most certainly not perfect" (Neologist 18 Aug 2006)

Now stick out yer chin!

That's the idea mate, raise one point at a time like a precisely-aimed sniper shot rather than firing off big waffly shotgun blasts like many debaters do..Smile
To answer:-
This is the 'Atheist Bible', it's full of blank pages because there's nothing in it, so there's not much chance of getting knowledge of any kind from it..Smile

Mate, you're admitting that some historians (OUTSIDE of the Bible) recorded the fact that Herod killed all the baby boys in the hope that Jesus was among them, thanks for that..Smile

@Romeo Fabulini,
There is no atheist bible that I'm aware of. Instead, there are textbooks about real things.

When they tried to arrest Jesus, his right-hand man Peter drew his sword and whacked the high priest's flunky across the head with it, slicing off his ear.
Jesus told him to stop, but the fact is that he allowed him to carry it in the first place, probably as a deterrent to muggers.
Same with all tyrants (Kaiser/Yamamoto/Hitler/Ho Chi Minh/Saddam, Gaddafi, Bin Laden etc), we have the free will to either let them run riot or tackle them.
For example if Americans hadn't stopped Yamamoto, he'd have been sipping tea in the White House and all the yanks would be speaking Japanese now..Wink
