Here we go again--without any substantiation, you assert that there is a god, that there is a "Satan," that the cosmos is a creation. Bullsh*t, that's superstition.

All I am doing is using those words to construct philosophical meanings. It works. Stop calling it 'bullsh*t.' You don't like the language of theology/religion because you are biased against it, pure and simple.

@livinglava,
Yes, I have a strong bias against superstitious bullsh*t. There is no philosophical content in your bullsh*t worth the name. You're just puking up standard christian, white bread theology.

You have no substantiation for any of your claims.

And then we have all the contradictions in the bible:

Quote:
Who incited David to count the fighting men of Israel?

God did (2 Samuel 24: 1)

Satan did (I Chronicles 2 1:1)

Quote:
In that count how many fighting men were found in Israel?

Eight hundred thousand (2 Samuel 24:9)
One million, one hundred thousand (I Chronicles 21:5)

Quote:
How many fighting men were found in Judah?

Five hundred thousand (2 Samuel 24:9)
Four hundred and seventy thousand (I Chronicles 21:5)

Quote:
God sent his prophet to threaten David with how many years of famine?

Seven (2 Samuel 24:13)
Three (I Chronicles 21:12)

Quote:
How old was Ahaziah when he began to rule over Jerusalem?

Twenty-two (2 Kings 8:26)
Forty-two (2 Chronicles 22:2)

Quote:
How old was Jehoiachin when he became king of Jerusalem?

Eighteen (2 Kings 24:8)
Eight (2 Chronicles 36:9)

Quote:
How long did he rule over Jerusalem?

Three months (2 Kings 24:8)
Three months and ten days (2 Chronicles 36:9)

Quote:
The chief of the mighty men of David lifted up his spear and killed how many men at one time?

Eight hundred (2 Samuel 23:8)
Three hundred (I Chronicles 11: 11)

Quote:
When did David bring the Ark of the Covenant to Jerusalem? Before defeating the Philistines or after?

After (2 Samuel 5 and 6)
Before (I Chronicles 13 and 14)

And, of course, the list goes on and on and on....

@OldGrumpy,
I am going to address just the first alleged contradiction you listed regarding the Census.
Again, seek the truth. Seek both sides of the argument.

There are hundreds of such alleged contradictions and many books written on answering and explaining them, and I am not looking to spend the time writing out such a book on here.
Just google it.
Again, the cure for your condition (of always coming to the wrong conclusion) is to STUDY. To dig deeper. To look for for and not just a reason to ‘thunp’ Or bash.
Blessings.

I don't think you understood anything I claimed at all. I think all you understand is what your mind projects onto what you are too superstitious about to bother understanding before you judge it.

@livinglava,
yes, its nice to read your mount to some kind of scientistic high ground, all done by mere assertions, but cant you even see that you guys have a fire side story handed to you from which you are desperately trying to find evidence?

You have yet to produce anything even worth discussing so why must fact driven people give you the time of day???

@livinglava,
That sounds like adhering to Joseph Goebbels' dictum of accusing the other side of your own crimes. The fact of the matter is that you have made claims--vague and nebulous claims--for which you have provided no substantiation. When challenged about your "god" and "Satan" and creation, you go off into some pseudo-philosophical discursus, and then you're off and running with your god and your Satan and your creation in your next post.

People who make claims about the nature of reality have the burden of supporting their claims, of substantiating those claims. You're not doing that.

I do prefer to start with ‘earthly things’ for the unbeliever. Creation truths. Before moving into ‘heavenly things.’ Like invisible lifeforms like angels. Hard enough to get ppl to believe in invisible lifeforms like bacteria years past.
This is where I started my search for truth.

'God' and 'angels' are just a way of describing/visualizing the forces that create and structure/discipline the universe.

You can't just ignore the common meaning of words like "god" and "angel", ascribe them to something else and expect anyone to follow what you are talking about.

If you want talk about something in physics then just use the words of physics. If you want to talk about something in religion then use the words of religion. If you want to imply that the words of religion actually refer to concepts in physics but have been misinterpreted then you are going to need a lot of evidence to convince anyone.

@rosborne979,
I was listening to a program from CBC yesterday and it was about the growing number of people who really believe that we live on a flat earth.
Many of these too, believe in a Creation myth and Intelligent Design while trying to create a "science " behind it.
Its fascinating as long as it doesnt get too out of hand and further infests teaching in our schools so that we start raising generations of functional morons who dont ever wonder how their technology arises and just vapidly use it .

The round earth is easily proven in series of demos by high school geography students.

Putting any "faith" in A Creationist rag has gotta be an April Fool's joke many months early.
Good luck with your" Creation SCience"

Well, first of all, the flat-earth theory is injected by the cia to ridicule real conspiracies. Furthermore 'schools' have already raised "generations of functional morons", not because of what you wrote, but the whole damn 'schoooling' is deliberately made to make people extremely dumb, stupid and what have you. And I see you also have no clue where technology really came from! Let's say it has nothing to do with any formal education.
Do you ever do any research into something before you write about it? It seems you don't!

@OldGrumpy,
You misinterpret nearly every verse. You clearly spend no time at all looking at what is really going on. No search for truth:(
Yet again, here is another example: (back on page 514) sry I didn’t have time to address alllll of the stuff you were posting so quickly btw.

Quote:
Let all who are under the yoke of slavery regard their masters as worthy of all honor, so that the name of God and the teaching may not be defamed. (1 Timothy 6)

Quote:
[Servants, be submissive to your masters with all respect, not only to the kind and gentle but to the overbearing. For one is approved if, mindful of God, he endures pain while suffering unjustly. For what credit is it, if when you do wrong and are beaten for it you take it patiently? But if when you do right and suffer for it you take it patiently, you have God's approval. 1 Peter 2:18-20/quote]

It's all hate, slave, misery, fascism and sexism.

Just read, it is crystal clear!

Now, if you spent just a few minutes reading/researching you would not be posting misinformation like the above.

https://www.gotquestions.org/Bible-slavery.html
The slavery in the Bible was not based exclusively on race. People were not enslaved because of their nationality or the color of their skin. In Bible times, slavery was based more on economics; it was a matter of social status. People sold themselves as slaves when they could not pay their debts or provide for their families. In New Testament times, sometimes doctors, lawyers, and even politicians were slaves of someone else. Some people actually chose to be slaves so as to have all their needs provided for by their masters.

You see? When taken outta context, you get it completely backwards. Your interpretation of things is just as backwatds as evolutionists interpreting fossils and such (the evidence before them)

You also said...
Quote:
‘It seems for you, anything goes! You must be deeply blinded by your faith in
this extremele violent religion!’

Again, just as you label scripture Promoting slavery, you label it as promoting violence, even though Christ himself is quoted saying ‘put your sword back, those who live by the sword shall die by the sword.’
https://biblehub.com/matthew/26-52.htm

You promote false teachings like Jesus Mythicistism too which says a lot as well.

Here’s another alleged contradiction you posted (without researching the slightest moment again):

Quote:
In that count how many fighting men were found in Israel?
Eight hundred thousand (2 Samuel 24:9)
One million, one hundred thousand (I Chronicles 21:5)

And here is the answer:
http://defendinginerrancy.com/bible-solutions/2_Samuel_24.9.php

Oldgrumpy, please don’t be so quick to spread misinformation. Seek truth. Seek multiple interpretations of things. Sift through the trash and hold onto what is good!
