@FBM,

Your "reuse" hypothesis implies a reuser, for which there is famously no evidence.
Unless of course, reuse IS the evidence..

Then cough it up. A claim in not the same as evidence, and the relevant experts disagree with you.

@FBM,
That was a cool video.

You probably won't see anything in my comment (especially evidence) but I have often wondered at the apparently painless, mater of fact way that animals give birth and the pain intensive way that humans do.

@Leadfoot,
We've evolved bigger craniums to hold bigger brains. The only real difficult part of human (non-breech) birth is getting the head through the birth canal. The rest of the body just slide right out.

@FBM,
That also applies to many animals. Ever see the birth of an elephant?

@cicerone imposter,
I was just kidding about the http://i206.photobucket.com/albums/bb192/DinahFyre/puke.gif. In a previous incarnation many moons ago, I used to pull calves and help with all sorts of dystocias. I don't think I can be grossed out by bodily fluids and the like.

Damn those bigger brains! You would think evolution would have given us bigger birth canals to go along with them. And bigger dicks for us guys :-)

Sorry, silly mood this AM...

@Leadfoot,
We've got the biggest whanger-to-body-size ratio among the hominids. http://i206.photobucket.com/albums/bb192/DinahFyre/muscleman.gif Maybe birth canals, too. In any event, over time earlier birth with longer post-natal nurturing periods seems to have been just the answer for H. sapiens sapiens to ascend to the top of the food chain. I don't see any need for an invisible, undetectable guy-in-the-sky to explain that.

@FBM,
Or maybe God said,

"Eve, you ignorant slut! Just for that, I'm gonna make your babies have big giant brains and having them will be a cast iron Bitch!"

@Leadfoot,
Yeah, because she committed the unpardonable sin of listening to a talking snake and eating an apple, and this god of unconditional love made all of mankind suffer for what she did. Wink

@FBM,
I'm sure there's a contradiction there, but I'm hard pressed to identify what that is! LOL
One apple, and the whole of humanity goes to pot. They say a 'loving' god is the culprit, and look at how many believe in 'this thing' called god.

@cicerone imposter,
Genisis is a story the snake in the storey is ya brain. God is the consciousness that the brains dwells in. The fall is the fall of the brain into knowlege. The tree of life is life without the need to know got by experience.

It's a head scratcher, innit? If a pet owner treated his/her animals like that, they'd get sent to jail in any reasonably advanced society.
