Why do people deny evolution?

As far as I can tell, creationists don't understand the Bible they claim to represent. Take timing, for one thing. The earth had been around for perhaps a kazillion years before the first creative 'day' (Hebrew 'yom') each 'day' an indefinite period of time. Adam and Eve were created in the 6th 'day'; and the 7th 'day' has yet to be recorded as having ended. So, other than the fact that, according to the Bible, Adam would now be about 6040 years old had he not sinned, I have little in common with creationists, many of whom seem to flounder in preacherteach. The only way dinosaurs could have existed in the time of the recorded flood would have been as the tar Noah reportedly used to caulk the timbers of the ark . Perfectly willing to let 'educators' do their thing, such as it is.

Moral virtue derives its self from awareness of consciousness giving a conscience to an individual. Consciousness is a constant in evolutions. Gluttony is evidents of a fallen awareness in an individual or ego nature. And so we end up with an egocentric glutton.

Let me slip in behind the babble here. Neo always tries to be all things to all men. He goes into atheist threads to pretend that he has a lot in common with them, and here he's trying to pretend that he has more in common with the scientific view point than the creati0nist. He peddles BS--constantly.

It's true.
I believe I have much in common with non believers, particularly when it comes to their opinion of clergy excesses.

I have high regard for scientific discipline. I completed enough credits in chemical engineering to score well on the graduate record exam, even after switching to a liberal arts major. And I have been well schooled by a few of the members I have met here. But I do not think the scientific community or any other human group will solve the problems facing mankind.
