The only thing with epigenetics is ,are the new features fixed and will they become sources for macro evolution?

I agree, that's a question. This paper indicates says there are indications that the it's been going on for 2-3 millions years in the case of these finches (as quoted above and repeated below):

Quote:
There was also a statistically significant correlation between the number of epigenetic differences and phylogenetic distance between finches (figs. 1 and 3), indicating that the number of epigenetic changes continues to accumulate over long periods of evolutionary time (2–3 Myr).

@farmerman,
Your not answering the orginal question why do people deny evolution. Because your on an ego trip about genetics and genetics is not why people deny evolution.

The idea was that the phenotype can adjust the phenotype to environmental changes (nat selection) .

I don't understand why you add "(nat selection)" to the end of your sentence. Where does that come in if it is the phenotype itself making the "selection?"

@FBM,
That's because any living thing has to evolve in order to survive. Climate change on this planet is on-going; it's not static.

@cicerone imposter,
As far as I know, the environments have been changing constantly since the planet cooled enough to enable life to get a grip. Like the thing said, every species is a transitional species. I would just add the caveat that fossils from terminal species, ie at the point of extinction, are exceptions.

Arent they changing as they die out ? It is just that the environment or competition or food supply etc changed faster than they were capable of... and large change is an opportunity for others, and for some who need very little, eg crocosaurusdiles (a puddle, something that drinks water to eat) change is hardly a bother .

@Ionus,
Fair enough. I wouldn't argue with that.

@Ionus,
Its just a long winded and some might say puffed up way to say death sculpters life. You can see it in fossils as the layers of sediment hold skeletons as deaths witnesses. Genetics is nature s way of adpting life forms around deaths template nothing more. Shame egos have been bloated so much the by evolution .

@martinies,
Hi martinies, I havent had much to do with you but you seem to like really flowery language . That can be a handicap to proper communication . Communication is about imparting a message, not getting a hard on for yourself .

@Ionus,
Ha . Just shows you if judge others they are judging you as you judge them. But I have to use that flowery laugage. Because death is supernatural and not natural the question is why do people deny evolution and the answer is. Because death is supernatural and they people instinctivly know that. So its the denying of a supernatural element in evolution that makes for the misunderstanding of it.

@Ionus,
Yes death is all around us . A nd as we speak insects insects are dieing by there millions. But the consciouness of all living forms is actually supernatural the exact same as yours is there is no differents in the consciousness of life forms.

@martinies,
Now life is supernatural ? And death I take it still . If all the natural world is supernatural, what is natural ?

@Ionus,
Its all supernatral but the physical part can be seen as natural . So if you as an observer were say veiwing the skeleton of a prehistoric fish in some limestone say .The consciouness that fish had as fish millions of years ago is the exact same super consciousness that is now as you the observer veiwing it the fish skeleton millions of years on in the future but of course with a different human brain because time is a form of the supernatural hoste consciousness.
