I became Facebook friends with a man I know but only see in person now and again, I have liked him from a far for a while. After we became friends on Facebook I was talking to some friend both male and female about him. They suggested that I should ask him out via Facebook in a private message, I wasn’t too keen at first but gave in after a while.
So I messaged him.
Me: “Hi how are you? I probably already should know this is a long shot. But I wonder if you fancied meeting for a drink one night? X”
He replied with: “sort of seeing someone darlin,catch ya soon tho x”
Is he just not interested or does his answer mean something else or am I just reading too much into it and should move on? I am 24 and he is 34 if this makes any diffrent.
@Amy1989,
If it were me, I'd take it for the exact truth. Move on. Plenty of fish in the sea even if it doesn't seem it at the moment.
The essence of his reply is "I don't want to meet you for a date". That is what he means.
