@Herald,
How about if you explain exactly how you know your god (whichever one you're claiming) did it instead? Or even just identify which god you're claiming?

Which god are you claiming? The Abrahamic one? Your source is therefore the Bible?
     Forget about God and the Big Bang and the Bible and the Theory - why don't you prove by means of something whether our Universe has been created, or has always existed? ... and you may prove also the feasibility for our intelligence to appear out of star dust ... by means of evolution with the time.

@Herald,
You're still asking the same silly questions. All the facts point to an expanding universe. All the physics point to it as the primary evidence. The "big bang" is a misnomer; it took billions of years for the expansion to arrive to this point in time.
That's the proof, the evidence, the reality. It's all based on 'energy.'

@Herald,
And you can. Why are you asking stupid questions? Is it because you can't answer just one of ours? LOL

I'm not out to prove anything except that your argument for a supernatural explanation is vastly weaker than that built on empirical evidence and the scientific method.

So you're going with the Abrahamic god, then? Why?

I always have to laugh very loudly when I hear or read someone talking/writing about the more then sacred cow called the 'scientific method"!

It is a Bible all in itself! How laughable all that stupidity is!

@Frank Apisa,
You're so fake, Frank... If you ask a stupid and vague question, don't complain when you get stupid and vague answers. And if you want to torture English or talk the Smurf language, I can do that too.

There are no gods in this world. No fairies, no devils and no ghosts. Or if there is, show me one.

There might be something which caused the universe, way back when, and we probably will never know what. Some people like to think this 'prime cause' was/is a thinking entity... I doubt that but there's no limit to what one can imagine, and no way to test these ideas. It's metaphysics, ie useless.

Metaphorically, the devil exists. But it's a metaphor. The devils are us.

Laughing You must have said something that made sense. Wink

Edit: I reviewed my Ignore list. You don't seem to post in BOLD ALL CAPS so much, so I'm willing to read.

No, no, no, Olivier...I am flesh and blood.

After my admonition that you ought to keep your cool under control, you were doing so nicely...and then this. Tsk, tsk, tsk.

My question is very clear. You just want to ramble around it because you know what the answer is...but you do not want to type it.

Hey...the "rambling" is amusing...and you are a funny guy!

Aha...so you are also saying "there are no gods in this world."

And apparently you are saying that if humans, these creatures who live on one small planet circling one small star, cannot see something...it cannot exist.

Oh, gosh...you really are a study!

Go hide, Olivier. You are not up to the task of serious discussion...and you certainly do not have the ethical wherewithal for it either. I'll be here to remind you of that when you come to dig.

As I said earlier: The assertion "there are no gods" cannot be anything more than a blind guess.

Anyone making the comment above at this stage of this discussion obviously doesn't take him/herself seriously...and neither should anyone else.

@FBM,
I know it looks rather shy but... i'm getting jealous now. Frank's got the bold face, others have the pink or the green fonts, others use caps... I NEED something to look, you know, special... So I'll use the diminutive fonts. And like that, you will never have to lay your eyes inadvertently on one of my diatribes against the hyper-skeptics... I'm protecting your feelings here.

Neutral What it really means is that if I want to find out what you have to say, I have to hit "Quote" so that it's visible, then decide whether or not to respond. How about just posting in italics? It's a lot less yell-y than all bold or BOLD ALL CAPS or PINK ALL BOLD ALL CAPS IN HUGE FONT, and nobody else does it, so you'd still get the uniqueness angle.
