What does:

"After our backers' orders have shipped..."

mean?

It is probably written wrong. It was likely intended to say "After our back orders have shipped. . . ."

Back orders are orders that have been received, but not shipped - usually because the merchandise has been.


It is also possible that the company's financial backers have also placed orders with the company and that those orders have been shipped.

If the quotation is correct,

our backers: our supporters, our financial guarantors

orders: the goods they have asked us to send

have shipped: have been sent, and are currently in transit

Usually, those who place orders for goods are referred to as customers, not backers, but the context may make this clearer.
