Hi,
We are students taking part in an Engineering Scheme, and we were thinking of working on a project targeted at those who are blind or visually impaired.

Basically, you would stick little devices to everyday essential objects (keys, purse, phone etc). Then, another device (possibly in the form of a watch) would, through voice recognition, trigger a particular one of the devices to beep so that you could locate the specific item.

We would appreciate any feedback on this idea.

@Engineeringeducation,
Hey Eng that's a great idea. For instance a different whistle tone could trigger each object

But I'd do some Googling to determine whether it's already an old idea

@Engineeringeducation,
Yeah, two years late and it still sounds like a good idea, and not just for the blind.
