My father is experiencing elderly diseases. I think it’s normal since he’s really old. But him being sick…I think I need to find some alternative to for him to have the kind of care he needs. Is long term care reliable?

@ashleyturner,
Generally, no. There are facilities for Alzheimers, assisted living, nursing homes, etc. There is also home care, which can be a challenge. First, you will have to decide what kind of care is needed, and then start some serious research, which will include in person visits.

If the money is right, there is a new field in social services called Care Management. Even if you go that route, you still owe it to your father to visit and interview a few of whatever they come up with.
