Using foot or using feet?

An armless guy writes something with his foot, washing his head with his foot...

Should we use "feet" instead of "foot" here? I prefer using foot, because he actually only writes something with one of his feet, just like we write something with our hand, not our hands -- because we never use both hands to write something...

I would go with "foot". He would have to be quite a contortionist to wash his head with his feet!

yes me too. If using one foot it is foot but if say, picking something up involving both feet, then feet, plural.

I would use foot here in MN. But once I get into Iowa and deeper south the rule changes. They go 65 mile an hour there. It's often twenty mile to the next town. Their capital is Des Moines, I guess they got into the habit of keeping sibilance silent.
