Hello, guys?
I've heard the expression a lot 'What do you think about it?'.
The intention of it is to ask for his or her opinion about something.
No doubt about it.
And my English tutor, a Korean, warned me not to use 'how' instead of 'what'.
Most native speakers, he added, would jokingly respond by saying 'My brain'
when asked 'How do you think about it?'
Now, would you think the speaker must be from non-English speaking countries if he or she asked you 'How do you think about it'?
What do you think?
@SMickey,
I would answer...by using my brain as that is the organ that allows me to conceive of this. That answers 'How'.
The question 'What' is answered by expressing my opinion on the matter.
"How do you feel about it?" is a common question.

Your tutor is a good one.

Yes, I would.
