Do we really have to take military action to Syria?

http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2013/08/28/this-is-about-destroying-sovereignty-beck-examines-potential-syria-strike-through-the-eyes-of-a-radical-leftist/

Quote:

Remember the guy who cut his enemy’s heart out and ate it, Beck added? “We’re on his side now.”

The list goes on, Beck said, including the financial cost of the endeavor and the possibility of dragging us into another war we don’t have the energy or resources for.

“Syria is not about teaching Assad a lesson. Two days of bombing probably won’t even seem out of place in Syria today, unfortunately,” he concluded. “Syria is not a response to the shock and horror of murder — hundreds of thousands have died… Syria is this — it is a sick opportunity for the globalist progressive revolutionaries in our own administration and all around the globe to remold the world closer to their heart’s desire.”

What is the word, is there even such a word, that describes this complete and unremitting delusion and hypocrisy all mixed up in one sordid, stinking pile of excrement.

It's not even worth a second's effort to try to determine who is the dumber, Gunga, you or Beck.

If anyone is interested this is being debated in the House of Commons right now. Don't know if you can get the live feed outside the UK.

@izzythepush,
Why a ‘no war’ Syria vote could cost UK its deputy sheriff badge:
Quote:
The big question could be whether the White House has come to a judgement on whether it’s worth waiting for the UK or not. One senior Whitehall figure talked about how the UK had “handed back its deputy sheriff badge” to the United States and would pay a heavy price in esteem and cooperation in the future with the US.

Another Whitehall source talked about how we may not be privy to the US plans of attack with decent notice if we look like not being a participant. We could be frozen out of the usual open lines of communication and down to a couple of hours’ courtesy notice before cruise missile attacks on Syria.

@Walter Hinteler,
That wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing.

@Walter Hinteler,
But Blurr was called a poodle Walt. Which way round do you want it?

Let's hope there is no pointless gesture killing a few hundred Syrians to save Obarmy's face over his pointless "red line" gesture.

Putin said that his gestures over Snowden were "ravings and drivel".

What's the rush? The UN Inspectors should be given time to prove the use of chemical weapons by their government before any military action is taken by our government.

Also, there's a possibility that the British government will not approve the coalition for military action against Syria.

Obama seems too ready to use military action against Syria. We are not the world police, and should let the Europeans worry about what's happening in their neighborhood.

We may have another GW Bush - ready to start wars without understanding the cost.

I cannot argue with your analysis.

Or, just theatre, for the protection of Britain in the history books? Meaning, the situation can really become a "loose cannon," so the US may just be willing to let Britain remain neutral. Or, in future negotiations after the dust settles, Britain can gallop in as the White Knight, and both sides will listen. In chess they call it "castling." Just my opinion, based on the fact that "management" dissimulates many events, just to keep the little chickens from ever taking umbrage with the real reasons for a decision.

Cameron has lost the vote in the Commons. We won't be doing anything before the weapons inspectors report back.

Of course he is.

Quote:
Rep. Mike Rogers, the chair of the House intelligence committee, is making the case for intervention to CNN host Wolf Blitzer.

Rogers is insisting that the reputation of the United States, "60 years of speak softly and carry a big stick" as he confusingly puts it, is at stake. He says the US must back up its words with action. He says that Assad must be taught a lesson.

Blitzer asks Rogers why it always seems the United States is in the position of playing global cop. Rogers says other countries are deeply involved in Syria.

As I understand it izzy we won't be doing anything.

What about Agent Orange?

Are high explosives not chemical weapons.

Are the bodies of dead children not laid out in longer lines in Africa while we all sit in our restaurants and ski resorts?

Do we trust the US anymore?

Should Cameron resign?

Why do we want to depose Assad?

Who sold the fuzzies this technology?

The US can jump into bed with France now and they were boycotting French cheese after the Iraq decisions. They go from bed to bed without rhyme or reason and solely on who smiles. (Just like on A2K).

"The media are a pitiful lot. They don't give us any history, they don't give us any analysis, they don't tell us anything. They don't raise the most basic questions: Who has the most weapons of mass destruction in the world by far? Who has used weapons of mass destruction more than any other nation? Who has killed more people in this world with weapons of mass destruction than any other nation? The answer: the United States."

@JTT,
Are you ever going to explain how Japan's war crimes were justified?
You claimed they were.
