"Serious" events receive attention from folks like me every day. Just not the attention you insist upon.
I've no doubt that there are very many children who have lost their lives due to nations protecting and imposing their interests on the rest of the world, and the US is one of those nations. I aso have no doubt that a great many children have lost their lives due to the malfeasance and malignance of their own leaders; national and local.
It's a horrible fact and it makes me ever grateful for my childhood and the childhood of my children.
It may speak poorly of me but I don't think about these terribly unfortunate children every waking minute of my life. From time to time I participate in fun threads like this one. You should try it.
