man has an intricate longing to encounter mystery ...there is always a part of him that looks to find a complexity that is beyond his Reach ,a challenge that hasnt yet been found ..a question yet to be answered ..it is the nature of man to look for what lies beneath and beyond ..or is it?

@neekeeda ,
I want to argue for the exact opposite, that man has an intrinsic need for understanding.

So when someone encounters a mystery it will involve them until they find an acceptable solution.

Some will find "It just is." an acceptable solution. Some will posit an explanation which satisfies an agenda or perhaps manipulate the mystery in a way that gives them power over others. Some will weave an explanation from what they already know about the world and some of those people will keep digging until every discrepancy is teased out and they can be satisfied that their explanation is a fair description of the world as it is.

IMO it is the urge towards a solution which drives human beings.

@spikepipsqueak,
it is true that once a man encounters a mystery ...he just has to find a solution to it...an answer.. or an explanation . this fact can't be argued at all..
but once he answers all his questions he begins to look for something new .something that hasn't yet been explained ..
maybe he does it find the power that u talk about...maybe he does it out of pure curiosity ...but whatever his motive , he keeps looking.

@PUNKEY,
creativity i believe is a manner of doing something , not the reason one does them.
