Anyway, we're often cordial and courteous to you, McG, an' Tarantalus, Fedral--the usual suspects. I would opine that if they knew us, we would be unwelcome among that bunch. Which suits me just fine.

The reason I like this board so much, is that no matter HOW far apart we seem to be in the political sense, we seem to be able to keep a level of decorum and civility.

There have been a few exceptions, but those threads tend to get locked and forgotten fairly quickly.

The office I work in is about 80% Liberal/Democrat and 20% Conservative/Republican. They say that it can be dangerous to discuss politics at works, but I have had arguments with the company's Vice President (Some lasting as long as 2 hours after work) where he has spouted the Dem Party line and I have argued the Rep side. In the end, we smile, say goodnight, and go home.

It's all in good fun and we have a great time doing it.

I still don't understand the Liberal mindset, but at least we each get to 'vent our spleens'

Always remember that: A Democrat is just a Republican who hasn't been mugged yet. Very Happy

I've been mugged over 30 times. I must be immune.

You know, we oughta have some subject-relevant tshirts for sale in the a2k emporium.

LOL, nah, it was due to excessive amounts of public transportation use in third world cities and the knack for being overdressed on the conveyances.

Selective
As a member of DU I read that thread. Yeah, there were some lowbrow comments, even some that advocated leveling Falujah.
If you wanna read some harsh Right Wing comments visit "Free Republic" sometime. That place has the highest percentage of Right Wing gutter politicos.
