Now, would the German "duty to resue" law include the Allied bombing of Germany in WWII, since one can say that the Allies were trying to save Germany from Nazism? Perhaps, even the fire bombing of Dresden falls under the duty to rescue laws? Or, would "no ex post facto" be applied?
I don't know, where the law of the Nazi period are still read at universities. I wasn't taught about those and I have no idea, how it worked then ... and how it would be decided NOW about what someone did or didn't do in these days.
I'm sure, however, that there are some specialists knowing such.
