Does he like me or is he making fun of me ?

Well.. It started about 1 Month ago, when i noticed a guy in my school looking at me the whole time.
The first time i noticed him he looked at me for a very long time (and his eyebrows were raised (?)) while his friends were kind of making fun of one of My friends, i just walked away after i noticed that guy staring.
Ever since that day, this guy always shows up where i am and every time he looks at me and when i look at him too, most of the time he turns to his friends and smiles/laughs or he just keeps looking at me.
He also seems to always come near me when he sees me.
So, My question is do you think he likes me or is he just making fun about me with his friends since i know some of his friends and they weren't quite nice to me &My friends in the past.
