If that were the case he wouldn't have survived long enough to stand trial. Talk about something that at least has a chance of happening.

@OmSigDAVID,
OJ did not rely on Florida's stand your ground law. He was a rich celebrity.

When an ordinary black man shoots a white lad and cites the stand your ground law as his defence, let us know. It's probably mention in Revelations.

Gun trumps finger..Smile
Zimmy's gun displayed to the court.
I bet collectors will pay big bucks for such a famous historic weapon..

I don t understand the question
but, by its own terms, that statute did not apply
to Zimmy 's situation as of when he discharged a lucky gunshot into martin.

Incidentally, when OJ Simpson butchered two white folks, his jury was nearly all-black and he got off. Surprise surprise...

@OmSigDAVID,
He was not initially arrested due to stand your ground legislation.

@izzythepush,
He CONSPICUOUSLY did not have the opportunity to stand his ground.

That was never an issue.

@OmSigDAVID,
If it wasn't an issue he would have been arrested at the scene of the crime. He wasn't.

That is incorrect.
He got no benefit from that statute.

If it had not been enacted,
there 'd not have been any different result.

He simply defended himself; perfectly lawful.
