My daughter has had her 6 .month old son taken from her by CPS after he fell off a3ft. high bed onto a concrete floor while she was making him a bottle. he was rushed to ER and sent home after the Dr. told her "she was just being an over reactive first time mom,babies are made to bounce" here is a paper with signs to watch for. We go home until 3 days later we rush him back to ER because he has soft bumps on the sides of his head the Dr. reply's that night with"hmm I have never seen anything like that before " imagine that neither had I that's why I'm here at 12:45 am and obviously in the wrong profession.
The next morning I take him to his pediatric Dr. who sends us for x-rays and back home. during all this time the baby has not had any signs or changes in his daily activities.
I get a call that afternoon to take him back to the hospital that di the x-rays because the baby had been abused because he has fractures. wow 4 different ER visits and it takes one woman to decide my daughter is a child abuser,which is absurd and that CPS is taking him and she is now under criminal investigation and facing going to jail.
it has been 3 months and $1200 later in attorney fees and we have seen him 3 times.and I need to hire an expert witness and another attorney.
I have had to get all his records on my own, no attorney helped me.
I have home health care come to my home every week along with a Dr. for I care for my grandmother.
I showed and have discussed this with one who is also an expert witness for CPS she tells me the fractures certainly could have came from the fall from birth from many things. But I have to pay a whole new set of Dr.s to say this in court against the other Dr.s who evaluated this situation 4 different times. As well as fight the police who are trying to charge her with a 1st degree felony.
All for loving her baby and an accidental fall she isn't lying about,and no one cares even the investigator thinks hes a Dr.now because he said there is no way the fractures came from the fall.
So tell me again where you are innocent until proven guilty,and telling the truth has no bearing on what the Dr.s and the legal sytem say.
And CPS can just do as they please to families.
