Unless you're a democrat. Then regardless of how they were counted, Gore won. Honestly, nobody really knows who won. Can't everyone agree on that at least?

I think they're both corporate-bought-and-paid-for puppets. So the guy with the most money to throw around will win. Bush.

I actually didn't want Gore or Bush. Gore was just the lessor of two evils so I voted for him. I feel the same way about Kerry. I don't feel strongly that he should be president but I do feel strongly that Bush shouldn't be president anymore. So here I go voting for the lessor of two evils again.

Where the hell did all of the good candidates go? They're all too afraid to run because they know there will be some scandal turned on them. That's my theory.

At least you guys can vote...We, up here, will have to live with the outcome of the election and its effects on us but have no say...

Your reply may be that we have our own vote in our own country and that is completely true...but so much of what happens in the US trickles up to us in one way or another...

If I could vote in the US it would be for Kerry for the same reasons as roverroad just mentioned.

May the best man win...

Don't worry, our votes don't count anyway. Americans don't get to choose their president. In fact they have no say in it what so ever. Only privileges members of the electoral college who are appointed by the feds get to pick the president. So there's really no point in voting for the president at all if you're an American. It's just to make us feel better about a corrupt election system. It gives us something to occupy our selves on election day while people in high places decide our fate.

And you thought this was a Democracy! If you think this is just a wacked out opinion, it's not. Just look up the Electorial college. Everyone aut to know what the Electoral college is after the 2000 elections. It's there to protect the people from themselves because the founders didn't think the people could be trusted to make such an important decision themselves. So don't bother voting in 2004. It won't matter anyway.

It's no accident the 2000' Presidential fracas happened in Florida where King George the Liar's brother is governor, and Katherine "Tangerine" Harris was Secretary of State.

Despite the heartfelt desires of the Bush loyalists to portray this as some sort of cosmic covergence -- in politics, especially banana republic politics, there are no accidents.

I'll go out on a limb here and make a prediction:

Watch for the GOP in 2008' to run Brother Jebby as President and Katherine "Tangerine" Harris as his VP.

What a truly nauseating thought.

I am afraid that Bush will actually win in the election this time. It just seems like they are in total control no matter what they do or say.

I hope that limb you on is attatched to a very large tree Titus!

I think you're onto something there Titus. I've been thinking for a while now that Jeb will be the next of Barbs litter to run for president. I disagree with your VP choice, though. Katherine (bucket 'O makeup) Harris won't be his VP. I predict his VP will be Rudy Guilliani. That's why Rudy was on the talking head shows a couple of weeks ago making statements like what a great leader President Bush was after 9/11. What a bunch of bullcrap that was. He showed up for a photo op holding a bull horn. Nah, it's gonna be Bush/Guilianni in 2008....IMHO.

The Casinos have Bush ahead by about 1 and a half to one. These guys are pretty good at what they do. If you really think Kerry's gonna win, click here and make some cash!

Oh, and by the way; follow this advice:

Who the Casinos are picking doesn't mean a thing. The casinos don't care who wins and it doesn't even matter if they guessed right.

The odds set by the casinos are designed to maximize the number of people betting. People are betting against each other (not against the casino) and they set it up so that there is no risk to the casino. The house always wins no matter what the outcome is.

So, the odds say a lot more about the people who are gambing than anything else. The people who are gambling are not representative of the voting public.

I don't expect that this is a reliable way to pick elections.

It would be interesting to see how the odds on elections correlated to the election results in years past. I haven't seen any numbers on this.

But, I do think that Bush is vulnerable.

I might just call up my bookie...

I don't have any numbers on how accurate the bookmakers are on politics. I usually only log on during football season. The $500 limit on wagers is indicative of there being some truth in your assessment. However, they have gotten enough stuff right in the past that I have no intention of taking the underdog in this fight (I only pick dogs in boxing). If you are convinced; 100<140 looks a lot more attractive than the usual 110>100!

Ps the site I linked is reputable and can be trusted to pay!

How do you know they are reputable? Some of the contracts they offer seem kind of silly (i.e. if Saddam will marry Chelsae Clinton).

Some of them will be impossible. They list as "Even" odds that Pot will "never" be legalized. How will I ever collect on this bet???

I won't be sending these guys any of my money.

I wonder if Guido down in the North End will offer this contract at the same odds. Somehow I doubt it.

I, and several people I know, have used this casino for football for several years. They do more world-wide-wagering on football than even the biggest Las Vegas Casinos. When they lose they pay. Last year I switched to the WagerMall.com because it offers multiple Casino's (including this one's) Lines from the same bank account. I wouldn't have endorsed the site if I weren't confident they'd pay. Good Luck!

I didn't mean to question your integrity Bill, but we are talking about gambling on an important event that we have a part in deciding aren't we? Didn't this get Pete Rose banned from baseball?

LOL. Of course gambling can get you in trouble here in the U.S. That's why I do all of my gambling in Costa Rica. Congress has not as of yet succeeded in making this illegal, though they are trying. The fools should regulate and tax it. It is a HUGE industry, and Vegas no longer keeps up with the offshore books. Billions change hands un-taxed annually.

Why do people stand with Bush? WHY?! I will never understand that insanity. Please please please let Kerry win! If he doesn't I'm going to seriously think about moving to Canada. And to all those who think that the "anyone but Bush" thing somehow "doesn't make sense" and that we oh my god! mean any blow joe off the streets: uh, we don't mean anyone here. Surely there are some people out there that are intelligent enough to read between the lines and know that we mean someone competent. I have an "anyone but Bush" bumper sticker on my car right now. Maybe someday I'll get egged for it, but well hey, like I would care.
