I can see it about every third or fourth refresh.

This isn't the first time that I can't see my own threads on new posts. In previous discussions Rob said that it shouldn't happen. It does.
maybe it's browser-specific...

what are you using?
can you try a different one?

@Region Philbis,
I'm on Safari.

I'll try Chrome.

Now viewing using Chrome and I don't see it.

Perhaps it's related to the number of views (20 something the last time I saw it) without a response?

@JPB,
Hit "New Posts" twice and it's there.

Bizarre!

Frank, if you haven't done so recently, you might run a scan on your computer to look for malware. The symptoms you describe make it sound like you've got malware problems on your computer.

Thank you everyone!!!

Especially JPB for starting me on that "quote" button. I must have shut that feature off at some point, because now that I have enabled it...I recognize that I used to use it many years back.

The main problem apparently has to do with grey hair. The more grey hair I get...the dumber I get! I wonder if dying it would help???

And I will be doing a full Norton scan to see if it can discover anything, because apparently my computer has developed some grey hair also. (And right now, I am wondering if the word is "grey" or "gray.")

That depends entirely on which side of the Atlantic you are on. (Although I'm told that those interesting folk north of USA often use the Brit spelling.)

You too, Ossobuco. But I already thanked you...and selected your answer.

But now I am cooking with fire.

@ossobuco,
Actually, even though the colour is grey, we have a lot of Grays. I was taught chemistry by one, I've yet to meet a Grey.

@ossobuco,
You should take a pat on the back, as far as I'm concerned, Osso.
I was also wondering what had happened to the quote button until I read your post.

@Frank Apisa,
Sorry, I didn't see that. Plus, I'm only teasing you, not to worry.

Happy quoting..

@izzythepush,
You'd think as a painter I'd know the word, but no. I use which ever version looks good at the time.

And well I should - I just looked at my tubes of gr_y, and the vowel varies.

It's just like whisky, osso. Or is it whiskey?

@Lustig Andrei,
I know one is preferred in certain places and the other in other places, but I'd have to look it up, and have, when posting on such.

What slob keeps thumbing down Izzy? I get a post or two or more, but not every single one all the time.

It seems we have renegade hate the person thumbers, and that is not what the thumbs were meant for. That says more about the hater.

For what it's worth, I have experienced none of this. I'm using IE something as a browser.

I am using IE8, chrome and firefox on this site under XP and have not seen any problem of that nature with any of them.

@ossobuco,
Don't worry about it, it goes on all the time. There's about three people who just go onto my posts and thumb everything down.

I must have really got under their skins.

What's really touching, is I normally get voted back up quite quickly, except for the British thread because nobody else goes there.
