Geez, Joe, maybe, but Math's not really my forte. (I've been trying to put together my age formula since page 1.) Is 17 a prime number? Very Happy

Gus, you're right, it is the 16th prime number. What an amazing mathematical mind you have!

Back on UC extension courses, I said they are expensive. Expensive to me, that is. But you can take them one at a time, and at night, and.... I think now some universities accept at least some of the courses as part of degree credit (not sure of that).

I know that in some certificate programs one is individually evaluated and can skip some of the beginning courses in some cases. (A pal heads the landscape architecture program at ucla ext.) In that program a lot of us got jobs in the field long before we finished the courses. Not that the program placed us, but that we had gained enough background to go get the jobs.

I don't mean this as a substitute for a university degree, but think it can be very useful education.

One of the UCSan Diego links had some job help info at the bottom of the page.

This is true of federal loans, but these will not cover all of your expenses. In fact, my tuition right now is roughly $18K/year, and I'm only eligible for about $10K in federal aid. The shortfall, if sufficient funds can't be got through work, scholarships, or sponging off of other people, is generally made up through educational loans from private institutions. They're not subsidized, and approval and terms are dependent on credit history.

I thought Craven was a little older because he's so set in his ways. He's very compatative, though, which is a young trait.

I was just cleared to be allowed to drink last month.
I am on the lookout for a grad school with good painting and sculpture/art classes and a good academic background.

I'm going to stop letting you get away with insulting me on unrelated threads. Just because your logical inadequacy was shown to you and you had no rebuttal you've been going around making wisecrack about me on any thread you run across where you can do so.

I can't be faulted for your inability to defend your brainfarts and I won't stand idle while you use your resentment of your inabilities in this regard to make wisecracks about me in unrelated threads.

It's just sour grapes, you couldn't support your position so you resort to going from thread to thread making wisecracks about me in place of intellectual integrity.

Craven - I didn't mean to be misunderstood. I only tease people who I respect. I don't agree with everything you say, but I only meant to josh a bit - poke you in the side (I also tease Fresco.) If I didn't like you you would know it (look at how I responded to Micah in the spirituality and religion threads.)

In case you hadn't noticed, I -am- a highly competative person. But that doesn't mean that I don't respect who I compete with. On the contrary, a (respectful) strong opponent is a welcome challenge.
