BUSH DESERVES REELECTION? EXPLAIN?

I'm always fascinated when I read or hear passionate calls from the right saying Bush actually deserves 4 more years in the White House.

Considering:

- 3 million jobs have vanished on his watch

- 1.7 million Americans have been added to the ranks of poverty

- the number of uninsured Americans has climbed 22% in the past 4 years

- a needless guerilla war is underway in Iraq

- 578 Americans have died needlessly in Iraq

- our relationship with cherished allies is destroyed

- the 9/11 terrorist attacks

That said, Bush loyalists still think Bush is "the man."

Maybe a few of them could explain their thinking?

Well, for starters, nothing bad has happened during his presidency. Secondly, he has better character than his opponents. And lastly, why should anyone else have to clean up his mess?

Nothing bad
Nothing bad has happened to da rich folk. Repubs don't give a crap about anybody else. Remember Shrub said: "The haves and have more are my base."

Any Middle Class, Working Poor or Poor person that votes for Bush Crime Syndicate is voting for criminals that are screwing them over.

Hey, Titus, Scoates was kidding. He's always trying to stir up trouble like that. I wish a Bush supporter who actually has some articulate response to this would show up on this thread. I'm tired of hearing all these smartass answers whenever anyone posts something like this.

Hi kickycan:

Well, unless you make more than $250,000 a year and received a huge tax cut from one of Bush's tax cuts, I can't see a single reason you'd ask Bush back.

But hell, what do I know? I voted with the majority.

Welcome Titus! If you really hope to hear from bush supporters, they are few and far between on this site. I would love to hear a bush supporter really say something that makes sense to me.

Oh well, maybe at some point somebody will have the balls to come in and take a shot at it.

Although I agree that Bush is indeed a moron, I find it revealling that you didn't mention the 10,000 innocent civilians that died as a result of his war, which was fought on false pretenses. That, in my opinion, should have been at the top of the list.

Good point, Iron Lion... but you gotta remember... in the arena of USA politics, civilian casualties aren't voting.

For that matter, the deaths of the tenants of the World Trade Center... they were in NYC... prolly would have voted Democratic.

Iron Lion:

You are correct. I failed to mention them in my list.

In fact, from what I've read the number of Iraqi civilians who died needlessly thanks to Bush's war is more than 15,000. This staggering number can be added to the estimated (WHO numbers) 600,000 Iraqi civilians who died courtesy of the 10 year embargo against Saddam.

Thank you for bringing this to my attention.

"Yes, let's keep praising Saddam for being the hero you think he is. McGentrix

A perfect example of the stark black and white organization of reality often displayed by the core Bush loyalists.

Any criticism of Bush's guerilla war in Iraq, or mention of the 578 dead Americans, or the 15,000 dead Iraqi citizens, translates into support for Saddam.

Not only is McGentrix' premise faulty, but it's simplistic.
