Why would eating "dog" make you feel warmer in the Winter?
I assume you mean a dog ( as in dog on leash) and not hot dog ( as in baseball,beer and hot dog).

pueo, We used to have a artichoke shop on the corner of Stevens Creek and Winchester Blvd that sold those fried artichokes, so we didn't need to travel all the way to Castroville. However, since that shop closed about two decades ago, haven't had fried since. My wife "never" buys artichoke, but I do at the farmers market we have around here. I love it with a dab of mayo. c.i.

oh yeah, with mayo, very good. we get artichokes here, but they are kind of shriveled and dried up. not worth the price.

I once ate at a Thai place in Sunnyvale off of Lawrence Expy in one of those hidden little mini-malls. I ordered lemon grass chicken, but what I got looked a lot more like lemon grass kitten.

You know when you buy rabbits you should always buy them with the head still attached.....

I have eaten sautéed grasshoppers. They are prepared with some onions, green peppers, salt and pepper and then sprinkled with some lime juice.

@HenHugger,
I believe there are some Asian cultures that eat grasshoppers. When we were kids, we used to kill grasshoppers, and used to see this dark glue-like substance that came out of it. Eat grasshoppers? No way!
