Let us wait untill they can reach Oklahoma and than nuke them.

So you wish to kills millions of people now in a country that at least at a moment is no direct threat to us of any kind and is unlikely to be for many years into the future?

To say nothing of what a real nuclear power would do if we start firing atom weapons at a country on their border.

so how do you explain similar threats over the past mmmmmmmmm 10/20/30/40 years? Americans always have weak presidents?

that does seem to be what you've suggested

You mean you would prefer Reagan, who was senile the entire time he was in office. Or would you prefer GWB, who never made a good decision in his life, who lied us into a horrible war, who let 9/11 happen despite getting explicit warnings, etc.?

@Advocate,
And Obama is doing what, in the face of this explicit warning?

We should be very concerned. Even if their rockets don't have sufficient range to hit us, there are many ways they could sneak a nuke into the USA.

We need to have Clinton's advice. While giving nothing to NK, he convinced them to padlock their nukes. Then, unfortunately, GWB came into office making gratuitous threats against NK, which quickly broke the locks.

@Advocate,
Fortunately, we do have a president who is good at being very concerned.

There were no such clear warnings when Bush was president.

Clinton made all sorts of concessions, and the didn't padlock anything.

Other when keeping the ongoing economic pressures and going ahead with the yearly South Korea and US military exercises and so on what the hell do you wish us to do?

Come on tell us in details what you wish the US to do over a nuclear threat that is meaningless as far as their abilities to carry them out.

WHO NEEDS NUKES? according to everything said by our president, his minions and their press the ultimate killing machine is described as an AR-15 with a high capacity bullet clip thingy. What's his name in NK knows that every able bodied American owns at least one of these baby killers and much more.

I don't fear NK Nukes.

Rodman's new best friend realizes that he lacks the firepower needed to lay waste the entire country, and last I checked, the US has the firepower to completely engulf a large portion of his country in a flash. He may be many things, but let's all hope he is not stupid. I don't think he's stupid.

The shear size of the US both in land mass and a heavily armed population (thank God) makes the country better able and equipped to survive/prevent much of what our enemies would like to do if they could put their boots on our ground.

Why does Obama want to reduce our firepower?
He wants to disarm the population and greatly reduce our total NUKE count.

What is it that Obama is so very concerned about?

@H2O MAN,
Do keep in mind that concern does not equate to doing anything.

@BillRM,

So what!

For the most part, the US military is the worlds 1st responders and that doesn't come cheap.
Maybe the rest of the damn world should kick in their fair share to cover some of the expense.
