Hi English Teachers,
Is there any difference between ‘a feeder bus’ and ‘a public bus’? Thanks a lot in advance.

@Loh Jane,
I've never heard of a feeder bus.

@Roberta,
No, me neither, but it sounds like it's a bus that goes along a route which connects to a larger bus route or something of that nature.

@Loh Jane,
A feeder bus is a term unique to Hong Kong. It specifically takes passengers to rail terminals.

The term doesn't seem to be used outside of Hong Kong, and even if it was, it wouldn't apply to buses that don't stop off at railway stations.
