The theme common to all these companies? Shortsighted management. In each case, steps were not taken to adequately prepare for the future. Instead, managers sat back and played defense. Maybe they thought about making moves but never did, or maybe they made some moves but it wasn’t enough to move the ball. After all was said and done, a lot more got said
than done.
What is the meaning of after all was said and done here ? Who can help me analyze the structure and meaning of it ?
@Nancy88,
My interpretations.
When it was all over. Everybody was just talking, and nobody was actually doing anything.
"After all was said and done" is a stock phrase. It means when some process or event was finished. It's used quite often.
@Setanta,
Got it, thank you very much. You are so nice Setanta.
@Nancy88,

Wait 'til you start asking him to explain his language explanations, Nancy. Then he gets downright testy.
Ask Oristar how nice he is then.
