I have read and listen to people discuse walmart. So here is mine.
Sweat Shops: First up, can u hold other countries to our (US) standards?
answer is no unless we use force. Such as in Iraq. LEt me clear this up, I was and still am for what we are doing there. Yes it is at a price. But when u watch the Free men and woman there tare down the statute , it made it worth it.
The US was a sweat shop not long ago. But we rose up as a nation and put an end to it. Granted, we allready had a system in place that allowed us to do it. And yes it is bad that wallyworld can break our laws and go outside our law to expliot a profit. But bottem line that is what we are about. The rich get richer and make jobs for us poor people. I understand that.
I remember when walmart was selling only US made stuff. I thought that was awsome. But now it is bot from the cheapest. Is that really wrong?
No matter what we say or do, Walmart is here to stay. They are big business. The little man has become part of our past. They have shaped our country and now the big dogs have taken over. One day just a hand full of companies will be in control. Then after that will be government controlled. It is part of evolution.
I am far from slamming on anyone here. I shop at wallyworld. It is really the only place to go. Well, I dis buy my tv from a local store. I do try my best to do that. But hell walmart is a drug, and I am on the corner waiting to get my fix. What is worse is They are building a super center behind it. It opes in a few weeks.
WHen it opens I will not return to dillions store. I hate that card crap. If u forget it, you have to pay marked price. I forgot my card one day and the manager would not use his card. So I stated when wallyworld opens u have lost my buisness. He told me it is my choice.
I do belive the home stores have become so pissed off at consumers that service has gone out the door. Not many hometown stores here put forth that local effort anymore.
I know excatly when big buisness was here to take over. Remember when you had your gas pumped for you? then it went to oneside full service and otherside self service? Now U can goto a closed station, put in your credit card and fill up yourself. It even started before that. The levi. spelling is wrong, well the levi was a 50's thing. major service for an awsome price.

One more reason not to shop there...
