@ehBeth,
Mmmm ... beautiful Kerrygold - slightly salted is my favourite, also their garlic and herb.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that German packaging? Delicious, whichever way you spell it. Do you get it in Australia?

@vonny,
Never seen it in my life Smile Yet we have so many varieties....

Just found the words funny must be my Irish background and silly Aussie sense of humor Wink

@ehBeth,
All kidding aside, Bethie <...heh heh...> we often had Kerry Gold in England. Haven't seen it here. We get butter from ALDI.

At least the missus does; I'm not such a butter nut myself, except with maple syrup. I'm more of a beech-nut and lavish coconut oil.

I'm into trees.

@Debacle,
We buy an Amish sweet butter or "Kellers" . They both are buttery goodness laden.
Im not aware about the Irish butter. Lots of imported stuff is just more expensive cause it hadda come over on a refrigerated boat and it doesn't really have anything special about it.

Is it one of those things that, if you put it our in a blind tatse test with say 4 other butters, youd be able to taste a marked difference?

Much of that is just clever marketing. I cannot stand Irish bacon, its salty and has a really funky flavor. Theres a butcher that sells it in Lancaster and the yuppy types rush in and quote how fine it is. I think theyr all nuts

@vonny,
Thanks, vonny.

Did you visit Wassau's buffet on the patio?
http://www.healthy-recipes-and-more.com/image-files/4th-of-july.jpg

The burgers are delicious! http://thumbs.dreamstime.com/thumblarge_392/12405874883WGy4z.jpg

And I love the individual trifles he made for dessert. Major yum. Smile

@firefly,
Wow, firefly, burgers aren't usually something that would tempt me - but in this case ..... the burger that Wassau is tempting us with is just too delicious looking to resist! I can't say no, Wassau, please prepare one for me too!

Goodness me, that burger must be at least 1 pound (about 1/2 kilo) in weight!
