Ill just sit over here and sulk.

Oh, come on, farmerman, join us over here and have some muffins. I didn't mean to ignore you.

When do you think you'll be able to start using your boat?

I've never had corn muffins, thanks ff

I thought you might not have tried them. They are more popular on this side of the pond. I think you'll find them quite tasty, they have a sweet flavor.

The native Americans learned early to dry and grind corn into corn meal, the basic component of cornbread. So, thanks to the Native Americans, breads and muffins made with corn meal have been part of the diet here since the days of this country's founding (which ties in with farmerman's mention of King George III Wink)
Quote:
Native Americans were using ground corn (maize) for food thousands of years before European explorers arrived in the New World. European settlers, especially those who resided in the southern English colonies, learned the original recipes and processes for corn dishes from the Cherokee, Chickasaw, Choctaw, and Creek, and soon they devised recipes for using cornmeal in breads similar to those made of grains available in Europe. Cornbread has been called a "cornerstone" of Southern United States cuisine.

Want some more butter with those corn muffins, vonny? Forget the calories--they don't exist in the food in this café. So, stop feeling guilty--just enjoy. Smile

In that case .... lots more butter please, and perhaps another corn muffin?

Not that anyone here needs them, but here's some tips on how to eat a muffin.
http://www.wikihow.com/Eat-a-Muffin

My approach is to break off little pieces of the muffin and eat it that way.
Just chomping into the whole muffin does tend to produce a lot of crumbs, which can land in one's lap--kinda messy, particularly if the muffin's buttered.

Wow, the jackpot for the next Powerball lottery drawing is at least $475 million--but it could go up based on ticket sales. Shocked

I'm feeling sort of lucky, so I'm going to pick up a ticket or two when I go out later.

If I win, I'm sure you could all give me hints on how to spend it. And, with that much to spend (even after taxes), I think I'd need some help. Smile

@igm,
I don't do actors igm. They all look ridiculous to me. Ron Jeremy is okay. Lexie Steele. Stan Laurel.

Do you know anything about acting schools, diplomas, wine bars, casting couches, one pot to piss in? If it works good they get political ambitions. Save The Earth **** whilst racking up the air miles and air conditioning 25 bed mansions.

@firefly,
For the record, corn bread, pone, muffins, etc. are a batter - not a dough. Though I don't fully understand what this signifies.....

@Rockhead,
It does have airyness from the soda (or is it the powder or is it the buttermilk or ?)? But do not let it rise and rolled and rise for 20 or 3 times. But, I guess I do see your point...... Thanks!

No, but when I see pictures like this

my resolve weakens, and I crave a REAL muffin, laden with calories! Already gone over my allowance of 'treats' this week with crumpets! Rolling Eyes So you see, virtual food can make you put on weight! Embarrassed
