It is part of the culture of some evangelical Christian groups where couples aren't supposed to have sex before marriage. Group dates prevent temptation.

Unless of course they plan on having group sex.

I used to do this back in the day too. Group date activities:

1. Karaoke
2. Bowling
3. Rollerskating
4. Geocaching
5. Escape Rooms
6. Minature Golf
7. Game night at someone's house
8. Dinner and a movie
9.Go Kart Racing
10. Concerts (even local ones)
11. Plays (local ones too)
12. Take a class together.
13. Scavenger Hunt
14. Amusement Park
15. Circus
16. Carnival
17. Writing game. (We picked a subject and wrote about it. When were done, we read it at our next get together).
18. Photography, take pictures of things as a group, landmarks, fun places, etc.
19. Card Making
20. Etc.

I wonder how things worked out over the past four years.

We mostly focused on games in my days of group dates/get-togethers. Board games and sports. Lots of softball, street hockey, volleyball, badminton.
