Another recent one is where the Admin budget office had intentionally cooked the books to make it appear that the new prescription aid will cost tops of 390 Billion.
This number is waay underestimated and was, as far as i know, not reported widely.

I knew about that one too. I thought it was the democrats who were the spending party. I also thought the republicans were the party of keeping government out of lives. Laughing Laughing Laughing

There is also a huge article about cooking the WMD books.

do not immediately dismiss this as drivel simply because it says salon and move on on it. It's a good read.

As it turns out the Republicans are guilty of every sin they have accused the Democrats of.

Backdoors for the US Police...
It's absolutely ridiculous for the police to believe they should have access to any/all forms of communication. What happened to privacy?

My biggest concern is that if backdoors to the communication infrastructure are built in for police, you can be assured that they will be abused/used by other parties as well.

This is a very scary proposal.

the far right (i.e.: Ashcroft,etc...) Like to use the phrase "If you aren't doing anything wrong, you don't need to worry." The problem is, the definition of "wrong" keeps changing.
