I have a question,it's from our english exam some weeks ago,there was a sentence saying"when you excercise,your body releases endorphins,release means..."and then there was 4 choices which two of them were raise and set,as a native speaker which one do you think is better and should be used instead of release thank you in advance

Neither raise nor set is a good choice. What were the other two? (Release is the best word to use.)

@sinashan,
What were all 4 choices? Raise can work in terms that mean the current (preexercise) levels of endorphins are raised in the process of exercising but I suppose one of the other two choices (not listed here) actually might make more sense.

@sinashan,

What Mr Setanta said.

What were the 4 choices? Could be "produce" maybe, but "release" is most common.
