There was a recent photograph published of one of the victims of the Russian theatre gasing of several weeks ago. Interesting to note that this victim's pupils were dilated.
What other chemicals were these victims exposed to?
Anyone know why?
Dilation of pupils may be caused by drugs suppressing action of acetylcholine, like, for example, atropine, scopolamine, etc. These drugs are used as antidotes for organic phosphorus compounds poisoning, including intoxication with nerve gas warfare. In this particular case, I do not know what caused pupils' dilation: phentanyl, antidotes against it, or it was a mere coincidence that pupils of the person on the picture you saw were dilated.
